Sophomore Grammar

The yellow haze of the lamp post its light just bright enough

Obscuring the stars in the sky, spread your wings up above

Lift those wings and go soaring through the heights

Aiming above that lamp post, the horizon stretching far and wide, you’ve taken a place and you find you have lost your place in line …

Dark light that abut those homes with windows clear and you try to break thru,

You try but the life stares back into the mirror

Now filled with false hopes that once were held dear, and those days been long gone by are gone again

Gone back to the abandoned Inn

Spare the lines that only lay lies down

For the faux innocence…

Why would you try now, It hot in the sky and that hasn’t

Worked since…

Care what is a sighs amount, doesn’t it count out

Or is it just too limited?
