... AND WHEN I GET THERE, THIS WILL BE THE SONG FOR THAT SCENE...

WHAT YOU FEEL WHEN YOU KNOW THAT YOU'VE FOUND THE PLACE

A super cool take on a totally underrated song. The Talking Heads never got enough airplay and the poseurs in their 50's tried to claim them when their timeless cools was used in movies and such. When I first landed in Carolina this song was in rotation on a radio station in Greensboro. I thought it was being played just for me and I eventually would decide not only to go to school down there, but live there permanently.

Digging through some stuff lying about the house I truly stumbled on the name of a girl I knew from A&T. She caught a serious case of the vapors and pestered me for 2 years. I honestly, honestly was not trying to lead her on. Had I been playing her, I'd owned that and most long time readers know that.

Anywho, I punched her name up and one of the links with her name was a website of people's mug shot and reason for their arrest. Yikes!! I clicked on it and yes indeed, it was her. She looked horrible but that really wasn't saying that much. What ever had her in the jump suit for the length of time indicated contrasted with my expectation of her. Felt bad but glad that I didn't get on the road with her.

Blah, blah, blah... enjoy the song!!

I haven't heard that expression "caught a serious case of the vapors" Mark in a long time; thanks for the chuckle it made me do when I was reading it

how sad about her; makes you wonder why she went down the path she went down to end up in that situation

There are times when the 'road not taken' is reflective of a good choice, with no regrets.

It'd be seriously upsetting to find out someone you knew was wearing the orange jumpsuit at the gray bar hotel. Makes you question how well you know people in their anger/pain/darkest moments.

Ahhh I used to love Talking Heads! I bought the album Stop Making Sense, and I totally memorized it. In fact I think I still can recall the order of the songs, after all these years.

Love
