...why let a small thing like that ...

... ruin such a good story?

I told a fan of the Arizona Cardinals, that there should have been an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on Santonio Holmes for his little act after he caught the game winning pass in the Super Bowl. The resulting penalty would have drastically changed field position for the Cardinals, and their strategy.

Would they have won? Don't know. Would I have liked to see? Sure, I would have. But this is like the cat in the grassy knoll ... it looks like something, it could have been nothing ...

What is for sure is that we will never know.

DREAMY DREAM POP

The other day, I posted a video of a kid in a monkey mask, which was the video for the uber-cool Boards of Canada joint, 'Everything You Do Is A Balloon'. If you got 7 minutes to let music slow your heart, ease your stress, and adjust your mood to where a bad one gets good, and a good one gets better ...

I think I am going to put that on my 'soundtrack to Nebraska'. But a tune that I have on my 'Jenny Dagle Playlist' on You Tube is another song that I think is going to make that cut.

Keane, is a band that I have been sleeping on for awhile now. In fact, I think I had heard them right when Mookie and I decided to hang out. Anyway, 'Sunshine' (which is different from 'Sunshine' by Simian, which I like as well) captured my ears, the same way that the Left Banke did, with 'Walk Away Renee'.

'Lost in the sun, can anybody find their home?', the song asks. There is only one way to find out, isn't there?

Anywho, I am hoping to get at 'Gran Torino' this weekend ... oh, I am supposed to have breakfast with the Fly Skimmie, and that was something we put on the calendar last month after trading email. I am looking forward to seeing her again. She has actually wanted to get together before now, so this is our first opportunity to see one another, really.

Finally, is it too soon to worry about next year?

I know I enjoy the videos you put up. It's much "moodier" stuff than I normally listen to, but I find it soothing.

I hope all goes well with your breakfast this weekend!

As for next year, I would say it's fine to be thinking about it, but I'd definitely steer clear of worrying about it. :)

Love, Beth

It is much too soon to worry about next year but not too soon to plan for next year. Some of the things people worry about long before the fact seem nonsensical once the time comes.~Mary
