... weight check ...

... getting ready for an interview at the library ....

It has been brought to my attention that women and men have different metabolism and process fat differently ... but I did not intend for my journaling about my fitness to be taken as anything more than a guide ... perhaps I need to make more disclaimers ...

I am NOT a fitness professional ... I have NOT been to any accredited class or training ... I am NOT  a dietician ... hey, I am not even a 'personal trainer' that should train anyone other than the person writing this ... ME!

WHEW ..! I hope that satisfies anyone who reads this ... because it means the critics missed when I began talking about this, that my little tips weren't meant to do anything other than raise stagnant fitness levels and that I wouldn't look to actually start talking about weight loss until late February, early March ...

As far as my recent entry about my partner ... well, that was what I guess you would call a 'vent' ... the difference from a 'vent' from a 'critique' is that a vent allows for air to pass through and circulate ... when you make a critique, you look at something and say what it is you think you see ... I know I mixed metaphors, but hey, if you are smart enough to turn on the computer, I KNOW you are smart enough to see the difference ... as to MY weight ... 223.5

... back to regularly scheduled programming ...

The shooting of the officer in New Orleans says SOOO many things to me ... from the despair that is present in the ravaged neighborhoods, the state of lawlessness present, to the conditions that make such non-involvement de rigueur in the Big Easy ...

... I remember training in New Orleans ... I never thought it was pretty ... it was hard ... I was too young and to self centered to 'soak' in the lack of ambience that it held ... I would be lying if I said I was in the infamous 9th Ward ... I just know that it reminded me of how I felt the first time I was in SE D.C. ...

... being a black man, I have to ask ... why is New Orleans in such a sorry state outside of the areas of commerce (Mardi Gras is expected to rock ... and they had no problems getting the sports facilities going) and when you look at the tremendous damage that the wildfires did to California, and how seamless the rebuilding is going out there (when have you heard about the squalor of the sheltering of folks there ... the painstakingly slow building of homes ..?)

... just sayin' ...

Unfortunately, what you say about NO is true.  I wonder if the hurricane had ravaged the FL coast or up northward, the rebuild would be this slow?  I think not.  In our world today, sad to see.
I take your tips on fitness as what works for you.  I know what works for me.  If I can take one of your suggestions and work it into my routine, great.  I don't judge you or your opinions.  Some people just have way too much time on their hands.  To read your words, from a man's point of view, is refreshing.  Vent all you want...good for the soul :)
