Acceptance. I have been to interviews where the interviewer would say "Tell me about yourself." How can I tell you about myself when what I am has been so conditioned by the things that have happened to me. Sometimes the processing has to go on for a long time. Kent State is gone and forgotten about about mostly, There are 14 year olds who are about to get thrown into the water who don't know it yet. I'm for the adaptability and resilience of the human being. The scars may remain and the life is altered but we attend to it.

DBDBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09144446186279708019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425569396822162863.post-35773360095509780772010-05-07T19:03:52.470-04:002010-05-07T19:03:52.470-04:00again I really like Lceel's comment; I think h...again I really like Lceel's comment; I think he summed it up really well Mark. I tell my son when "mistakes" are made to see what he can learn from them so he doesn't repeat the same action again; I think we all have things we would have chosen to do different in our lives and have consequences as a result of them, but learning to perhaps make wiser choices as a result should be a goal, I do think

(I'm off to Montana for a week so if you don't "see" me, you'll know where I'm at :)

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425569396822162863.post-54702053231217752582010-05-07T12:31:41.234-04:002010-05-07T12:31:41.234-04:00My Gramps used to say, "No use cryin' ove...My Gramps used to say, "No use cryin' over spilt milk." Right before he would say, "You've made your bed, now lay in it."

Those things sound a bit harsh, I know, especially in the context presented here - as a comment on your post. But they aren't meant to be harsh so much as to show you that what you feel - what you are experiencing, is not new, you are not alone, this stuff has been around for a long time and is going to remain part of hte human experience whether we like it or not.

We all make choices. We all have to live with the consequences of those choices whether the choices were well made or not.

You can't change what's happened. You can only learn from it and make new and better choices going forward.

I don't know if any of this makes sense or not - it's just me and my reaction to you and your reaction to your choices.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13024392628362568010noreply@blogger.com
